Initially formed in 1987 simply as a means for those interested to gaTher togeTher to sing...  moreThe Outer Banks Chorus is a group of 80+ singers dedicated to bringing excellent choral music of all kinds to Dare County, North Carolina and The surrounding areas. Initially formed in 1987 simply as a means for those interested to gaTher togeTher to sing, more formal concerts were later organized and presented. In addition to two planned concerts a year (a Christmas concert in The Fall and a Spring concert), There are frequently requests from local organizations for appearances. For example, in The spring of 2011, The group performed at The Wright BroThers Monument for The Centennial of The Wright BroThers Glider Flight. The repertoire of The Outer Banks Chorus ranges from The Classical to Broadway, and spirituals of all kinds and in different languages. Recently The Chorus has sung a number of premiere performances of pieces by contemporary composers. All are invited to hear The Chorus sing exceptionally lovely and wonderful choral music.  less

We uphold The tradition and art of male choral singing through The camaraderie of choral membership and in entertaining our audiences. We give our own concerts several times a year in Norwich and beyond, as well as appear at events by invitation. We were Special Guests of 'The People's Soprano' Rebecca Newman at her 2012 and Spring 2016 tour Norwich appearances and we put up a team to challenge The Eggheads for quiz supremacy!
