MUSYCA's performance at the 2014 Neckelodeon Kids Choice Awards has been seen in more than 375 million households worldwide, in more than 25 languages. Season's highlights include community concerts, domestic and international performance tours, collaborations with artists and arts organizations, and recording. MUSYCA singers collaborated with composers Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard, recording artists DJ Mustard, Alexander Palmer, Sia Furler and Luke Christopher. Singers in this ensemble demonstrate a high level of commitment to Choral singing and to sharing this art with audiences at home and around the world. the Chamber Choir forms the core of Cantilon’s touring and recording program and participates in many exciting and unique activities throughout the year. the Chamber Choir performs locally in concert at least four times per season, and competes in music festivals at local, provincial and national levels. the Chamber Choir generally follows a three-year touring cycle: a regional tour in year one, national tour in year two, and an international tour every third year. In addition to its regular concert series, the Chamber Choir is often invited to perform with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Pro Coro Canada, Edmonton Opera and the Richard Eaton Singers.  less

We are based in Chicago's western suburbs. ECU performs two major concerts each season with full professional orchestra musicians and pro soloists, and also a mini-concert of our singers in soLos and duets with piano. We often appear as featured guest artists with Elmhurst Symphony and in local appearances. Our outstanding volunteer singers come from throughout the Chicago area for a unique musical experience. Our conductor James MacDonald has directed choirs and orchestras throughout the U.S. and overseas, and teaches conducting and music theory. In addition to pop songs, the repertoire comprises pieces of latin, gospel, jazz and swing music for up to eight voices and primarily a cappella.
