The Concert Choir gives a number of performances in...  moreThe California State University, Fullerton Concert Choir, directed by Christopher Peterson, is a 74-voice auditioned, mixed ensemble comprised primarily of students studying voice in the School of Music. The Concert Choir gives a number of performances in Southern California every year, and has also toured in Canada, Hawaii, Europe, and the United States. The Concert Choir performs a variety of accompanied and unaccompanied repertoire, and collaborates annually with the CSUF University Singers to present performances of Choral-orchestral masterworks. They have joined the University Singers in performances with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and the Pacific Symphony Orchestra. For the past four years they have represented CSUF at the Pacific Southwest Intercollegiate Choral Association Festival of Choirs. A major mission of the Concert Choir is to sing and perform traditional as well as new Choral music at the highest artistic levels, and to communicate to their audiences through compelling and musical performances...    less

How I wrote the composition Hope to process a miscarriage, or how I wrote I Will Lift My Eyes at a time when multiple family members, both young and old, were being diagnosed with cancer. No matter life’s challenges, music has always been an outlet for me to cope and heal. It has helped me to persevere and fight through some of life's most difficult moments, ultimately making me a stronger person. The world can be a challenging place, but each of us are warriors—armed with the gift to sing, and filled with the fire, passion, drive, and grit to conquer anything.  less

To raise awareness of Alzheimer's Disease and other forms of Dementia, and to raise money for Alzheimer's Society UK, Homechoir singers around the world learned Kirby Shaw's amazing arrangement of Bart Howard's Fly Me To The Moon and recorded themselves s...  moreTo raise awareness of Alzheimer's Disease and other forms of Dementia, and to raise money for Alzheimer's Society UK, Homechoir singers around the world learned Kirby Shaw's amazing arrangement of Bart Howard's Fly Me To The Moon and recorded themselves singing it at home. Homechoir's sound engineers mixed all of the voices into a combined choir and this is the fantastic result. The Choir raised more than £2.5k for Alzheimer's Society. The University Chorale is the touring ensemble for the Choral department. The ensemble performs a wide spectrum of the finest Choral literature. The group performs extensively throughout the Southwest and will be singing at several venues in Washington D.C. during December of 2013. The group primarily consists of vocal music majors, however, there are singers representing several other academic disciplines. The University Chorale has been under the direction of J. Steven Walker since 1984. Dr. Walker is the Director of Choral Activities and a Linscheid Distinguished Teaching Professor at East Central University. He has served on the music faculty at ECU since 1983.  less

One of the biggest private and social Choral projects in Madrid, Spain. Founded by Coral Santiago Apostol, a well-known mixed choir, which has extended its scope to children and young people, creating Coro Ilusiones (children) and Coro Encanto (youth).
