Too often today, it can feel easier to unfriend, unfollow, or simply part ways with others when they seem unworthy of our effort. Yet to truly understand and love one another requires fierce determination. It demands listening with openness rather than tuning out in order to respond defensively. It asks us to compromise—even when that means agreeing to disagree. Ultimately, all of this is only possible if we choose to live with the will to love. Musically, I sought to capture both determination and collective unity through texture and rhythmic drive. The use of canonic writing on the text “I sing” symbolizes individual voices rising together toward a shared purpose. Likewise, the primary rhythmic motive in the secondo piano part reflects the persistence and passion of the human heart—the unyielding fire that propels us forward through hardship. English translation by Ivan Peček: TOMORROW THEY WILL CARRY YOU Tomorrow the six of them will carry you in their hands, The mother will lament, the heart will toll, Oh my father, all your trials and hardships have come to an end, The gravestone will cover your body. You understood the soul of the fig and carob, You built the dams like you built your and our lives, Tomorrow they will carry you away to where no one returns from, On the head of the table there will be one empty chair left. Everything you touched turned into gold, May the earth forever be light upon you, The gravestone has fallen upon you, now it's our turn To spend our lives like a wage that is earned and spent. The body will endure, the stone will persist, and so will you remain in our hearts, though you're gone. contact: www.facebook.com/m.marulic.choir m.marulic_choir@yahoo.com  less

Very high unpretentious music, the choir was created to provide coverage to the need to sing and further training of a group of friends singing around the figure of his teacher. The time spent on the trials is very low in comparison to a standard chorus but over the years has drawn new members, has taken on challenges in terms of repertoire, has been federated, offers concerts by the municipalities of Biscay, and share their work in exchanges with other choirs in and out of Euskadi. Since the beginning of his career have enjoyed the cooperation of Garbiñe Abendaño as a teacher of vocal technique.  less

Due to its diligent and devoted work, with repertoire including pieces by Croatian and other authors spanning from the Renaissance to the 21st century, the choir reached high quality of interpretation, soon recognized by audience. After many successful performances in Split and the region, the choir started to participate in various national and international choral competitions, having achieved notable results. Thus, the short but interesting history of the choir includes: - 3rd place at “Croatian Choral Assembly” in 2009 and 2011, and 1st place at this competition in 2010, 2012 and 2013; - two silver certificates at international choral competition “Slovakia Cantat 2010”; - awards won at the competition “Cro Patria” (3rd award of the jury in 2010 and 1st award of the audience in 2012); - two silver medals at World choir Championships held in Graz in Ju...    less
