Greendale Chorale was formed in 2006 with the inception of the school. In these few years, the young all-girls choir has grown from strength to strength. Since June 2009, under the direction of their conductor, Mr Darius Lim, the choir has garnered num...  more Greendale Chorale was formed in 2006 with the inception of the school. In these few years, the young all-girls choir has grown from strength to strength. Since June 2009, under the direction of their conductor, Mr Darius Lim, the choir has garnered numerous accolades and awards to their name. In 2010 the choir won the Gold Award at the 3rd Orientale Concentus International Choral Competition in Yilan, Taiwan. The choir was also Category Winner and was one of four choirs to be invited to compete in the grand finals. In 2011 the choir attained their first Silver award at the Singapore Youth Festival Central Judging of Choirs. In the same year they came in 2nd at the National A Capella Championships. The choir has also collaborated with numerous national ensembles such as the Singapore Police Force Band and Choir and the Singapore Armed Forces Band. They have performed at major concert venues including the Esplanade Concert Hall, School of the Arts Concert Hall and Victoria Concert Hall - both alone and also ...    less

Resonance seeks to reflect on the most pressing social issues of our times through performing new music and sharing many perspectives. As Oregon Arts Watch wrote in June 2019, “they do social justice music justice: their concerts are part social commentary, part group therapy, and part best damn choir show in town.” Our concerts are designed to reflect the times, and audience members often tell us that they see their experiences reflected in our thought-provoking performances.  less
