It is often asked to participate in important European events of which the most recent was the enlargement of the EU to 27 member states. The Choir frequently performs with renowned European symphony orchestras and soloists in Brussels and in many capitals and other cities across Europe.

The Surrey Children's Choir family represents 3 Choirs, a Junior Training Choir, an Intermediate Training Choir, and the Senior Surrey Children's Choir. The "family" also includes older levels, a treble Chamber Choir, a mixed young adult chorus...  moreThe Surrey Children's Choir family represents 3 Choirs, a Junior Training Choir, an Intermediate Training Choir, and the Senior Surrey Children's Choir. The "family" also includes older levels, a treble Chamber Choir, a mixed young adult chorus, and a Community adult chorus. The Junior and Intermediate Training Choirs (JTC and ITC) provide a program of sequentially developed skills which prepare choristers for admission into the Surrey Children's Choir. The training Choirs perform annually at the Family Christmas Concert and Year End concert (held in May of each year). They also often compete at the Fraser Valley Kiwanis Music Festival, always with great results. The training Choirs may also perform at various events in the Community. The SCC, a treble-voice Choir of boys and girls aged 12-18 is a consistent gold medal winner at local festivals, hailed by Gerald Van Wyck, Vancouver Community College professor as "one of the best children's Choirs in Canada". We sing music from the early 1900's through to more modern songs such as Billy Joel, The Rat Pack etc. The chorus focuses on improving singing techniques and making chords "ring" while at the same time simply having fun. We love it when a 4 part chord is correctly tuned and the chord just locks together and harmonics (or overtones) ring out loud and strong. We compete every year in local contest as a mean of measuring our progress against similar groups but we just love to perform for the public and so our contest activities are very well balanced with public performance. We also have a great time together as one of our goals is to provide a place where men can gather and enjoy their interest in singing. The Harbour Capital Chorus was formed in Wellington on February 4th, 1988 following pioneering work by the “Co-ordinated Chemists” Quartet for several years prior to that. YNS is a children's Choir organization of over 330 singers in 8 different Choirs ranging in age from grades 1- 12. Choirs consist of singers grouped by age and ability, as well as a Boys Choir and Young Men's Chorus
