The group’s Repertory is quite wide and eclectic and ranges from sacred and secular early music to contemporary works. Besides singing some of The most important Renaissance and Baroque masterpieces, by composers such as Victoria, Palestrina, Byrd, Monteverdi, Purcell, Handel and Bach, The group has also premiered several contemporary pieces and made first modern auditions of many Portuguese Renaissance and Baroque works. Christopher Bochmann, Ivan Moody, Bob Chilcott, Luis Tinoco, Eurico Carrapatoso and Vasco Mendonça are some of The composers who dedicated works to Grupo Vocal Olisipo.
Grupo Vocal Olisipo attended several masterclasses led by some of The world leading vocal ensembles, such as The King's Singers and The Hilliard Ensemble and was coached in The performance of Baroque music by Jill Feldman.

The familiar African American song, “Angels watching over me” is given cantus firmus treatment while a lilting African lullaby, "Abiyoyo" gently sways around it. The Bantu song, "Abiyoyo" is traditionally sung at bedtime as a song to entrance night time monsters into a dancing state; moTher and faTher can Then chase The monsters away so baby can safely sleep.

We aim to establish a strong group of Singers who rehearse and perform regularly, predominantly a cappella choral works but sometimes with instruments and including some solo/small ensemble repertoire. We will be commissioning new works as well as exploring established repertoire and pieces by CoMA composers and associates. The group will reinforce as well as supplement The established CoMA Voices programme.
Singers are expected to be confident Singers with some sight reading experience, be prepared to tackle unusual vocal techniques and unconventional pieces. Singers are expected to work and prepare Themselves between rehearsals less
