Ira Spaulding, born in New York, studied with Robert Simpson at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey (Bachelor of Music) and also holds a Master of Music in Voice and Choral Conducting from Eastern Kentucky University. He gave numerous recitals in America as well as having taught voice, conducting, vocal pedagogy and literature at several colleges and conducted various vocal ensembles (community oratorio Choirs, church Choirs, boys Choirs and a jazz vocal ensemble). The members are composed of high school, college students and out of school youth and employees who lives in Timog, CAA, las Piñas City that is why the former name of the Choir was Timog Youth Choir. The name was changed since the Choir started to expand its age range from 15-20 years old to open age as long as the member would fit the singing style of the Choir. The Choir usually held Christmas concerts and performs at quarterly general assembly of Choirs in the parish. last June 2010, the Choir became the Champions of the first-ever Choral Competition of the MQAP in line with the parish’s 25th Anniversary wherein they bested other Choirs which comprises the whole parish. Estas canciones de cuna se cantaban principalmente para los niños menores de 6 meses, ya que se buscaban en ellos signos de enfermedad y muerte. Estas canciones de cuna han sido una forma de que la madre libere la tensión y el agotamiento.
