Founded in 1985, the Chandos Chamber Choir is an auditioned amateur Choir of approximately 30 voices. The Choir performs about three times a year both within London and further afield.

The Choir features a flexible array of singers to cater especially to your needs - from full 16 piece Chamber Choir to a more intimate quartet or solo singers. From early renaissance music, through classical and romantic, to modern day, Coroedina's repertoire is large and varied. More recently, the Choir has also begun performing in and around Edinburgh at dedicated events to showcase their musical ability, and to share their passion and love of singing.  less

Its creative efforts and dynamic development in 1999 permitted the Choir under the sponsorship of t...  moreThe POKROFF (translation: Protection of the Virgin Mary) Chamber Choir was set up in 1993 by its director and trumpeter Andrey Goryachev as a church Choir. Its creative efforts and dynamic development in 1999 permitted the Choir under the sponsorship of the Voice of Russia Radio Company to record its first CD – “Divinity in Sound”. Two more CDs were recorded in 2003 and 2005, devoted to Christmas and Easter. Since 2000 the Choir began touring not only in Russia but also abroad, visiting Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, France, Italy, Ukraine, Moldavia, Croatia, Montenegro, BiH and Estonia. The Choir also took part in television shows in Russia and abroad, such as in the “Bregenzer Advent” in 2002. Apart from regular concerts and recordings, the Choir also minds it spiritual roots, regularly taking part in church services, both routine and special ceremonial, such as Episcopal services at which it frequently performs. The Choir is based near Taunton and stages annual concerts at Wells Cathedral and King’s College Chapel, Taunton, with the finest nationally and internationally renowned soloists and orchestras, performing innovative and varied programmes of music ranging from medieval through to 21st century.

PG Carnivalesque" under the patronage of Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdańsk Tech, attracted several hundred people who listened to daring performances of popular pop music hits. During the performance we heard choral arrangements of...  moreThe concert "ACH! PG Carnivalesque" under the patronage of Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdańsk Tech, attracted several hundred people who listened to daring performances of popular pop music hits. During the performance we heard choral arrangements of hits such as: "Dancing Queen", "Memory", "California Dreamin'" and "Maria". This time it was not Mozart or Bach, but ABBA, Queen and songs from the musical West Side Story that graced the walls of the Gdansk University of Technology in carnivalesque musical artistic creations. Jazz musicians performed along with the Choir, and the musical effects were accompanied by a unique lighting arrangement, which required appropriate space and audience arrangement. The more-than-hour-long performance by the Academic Choir of the Gdańsk University of Technology, conducted by Prof. Mariusz Mróz and accompanied by musicians from the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz, ended with joint singing, encores and a standing ovation.  less

The Choir is made up of 25 members from a variety of professional backgrounds, including teachers, scientists, clerics, accountants, carpenters, and engineers. The Choir's repertoire consists mainly of choral works from the renaissance and 20th century, as well as contemporary pieces in Hungarian, English, Latin, Italian, French, and German. The Gesualdo Choir has earned several national and international awards, winning top ratings in Hungary as well as 2nd and 3rd place prizes at the prestigious Tonen Choir competition in the Netherlands. The Choir performs 15 times each year within Hungary, and continually seeks opportunities to spread the beauty of the Hungarian choral tradition abroad.
