We sing a varied mix of music from traditional ballads and songs from the West End shows, to popular numbers. We welcome new adult members with or without prior choral experience. You do need some musical ability, but it's not essential to read music. Rehearsals are in Wembdon, near Bridgwater, on a Tuesday evening.

Singers in this ensemble demonstrate a High level of commitment to choral singing and to sharing this art with audiences at home and around the world. The Chamber Choir forms the core of Cantilon’s touring and recording program and participates in many exciting and unique activities throughout the year. The Chamber Choir performs locally in concert at least four times per season, and competes in music festivals at local, provincial and national levels. The Chamber Choir generally follows a three-year touring cycle: a regional tour in year one, national tour in year two, and an international tour every third year. In addition to its regular concert series, the Chamber Choir is often invited to perform with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Pro Coro Canada, Edmonton Opera and the Richard Eaton Singers.  less

The Choir was founded in 1998 by its musical director, Stephen Shellard, in order to draw together a group of High quality singers from the local area to develop a concert repertoire and further enrich the choral tradition of Worcester Cathedral. The establishment of the Choir made history as, for the first time since its foundation nearly 1000 years ago, Worcester Cathedral included women's voices as a part of its musical life.  less
