It can be sung to eiTher a woman or a man. While The qualities of The beloved are listed in contemplative praise, The promise to be There in difficult times is made with tenderness and sincerity. As we are enveloped in this loving tranquility, The voices of The choir intensify until They reach a second Theme, one that is more marked and determined. This sequence entitled ”The French Dream’, introduces us to a more mysterious and dreamlike atmosphere, straight out of our childhood fairy tales. Then, as if we had fallen asleep for a moment, The words 'Beautiful! Beautiful' resound once again, bringing us back to a reassuring reality.  less

Each Choir member has a different and wide-ranging background in solo, operatic and competitive performance, which enhances The choir’s ability to undertake some of The more challenging choral works and contributes to Their fresh and unique sound. The Academy Chamber Choir’s repertoire spans from early to contemporary Music. Their most recent success was ranking third in “Irelands Choir of The Year” at Cork International Choral Festival 2013.
