Singing with OSQ is an excellent opportunity to create beautiful music with others and meet a wide range of people. Under the direction of Maestro David Close, OSQ celebrates it's 95th year of singing from the heart inspiring singers and audiences alike with the power of song.  

A long-established and highly regarded choral society of approx. 130 members, performing 3 or 4 concerts per year in Sheffield Cathedral and other churches/venues. Performances are of a widely varied nature, including major Works such as Verdi's Requiem and Britten's War Requiem. New members always welcome - see website for details. In addition to the main choir there are smaller groups such as the Chamber choir and Ladies' choir. The Chorus specializes in the performance of Negro spirituals and is dedicated to its preservation as well as the performance of works by African American composers. The CSCC also maintains a liberal helping of standard classical music in its repertoire. Its members come from all walks of life, unified by their mutual love of great music. This award-winning ensemble has performed numerous times on radio, presented its own television “Special” on the statewide educational television network, as well as appearances on local TV stations. This past Christmas, the CSCC’s 2015 Community Celebration of Christmas was broadcast on public television WGTE. The establishment of the chorus is to build a platform for the youth to promote choral music and realize their dreams, as well as to organize different cultural exchange activities to promote music and serve the society. In the summer of 2011, HKVC held their debut concert “Sing Out a Dream” in the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall to raise funds to support the charitable work of the Lions Club of Central. In 2012, the chorus organized and performed five shows of a grand scale original youth choral musical “Like. So?”. The musical received positive comments and the chorus was even invited by renowned pianist Ms. Nancy Loo to an interview and performance in her RTHK 4 Radio Program “Cantilena”. In 2013, the chorus started planning to register themselves as a non-profit charitable organization and held a fundraising concert called “One Heart, One Voice”. Der Gospelchor trat in den Kategorien Spiritual und Gospel an. Hier sehen Sie den Gospelchor Rejoice beim Wettbewerb Spiritual mit dem Lied "My soul's been anchored in the Lord" von Moses Hogan. Der Gospelchor gewann in beiden Kategorien die Silbermedaille.
