Viele Besonderheiten des Chores, Hintergründe in Pädagogik, Stimmzusammensetzung und Repertoire finden ihren Ursprung in der Arbeit der großen Chorpädagogin Edith Möller. Conspirare was founded in 1991 to present a summer classical Music festival in Austin, Texas. Since then, the organization has grown rapidly to become an internationally recognized, professional choral organization that combines outstanding vocal artistry with innovative programming. Led by renowned founding artistic director Craig Hella Johnson, Conspirare is comprised of two adult ensembles and two Youth choirs. The five-time Grammy-nominated chamber choir Conspirare, with extraordinarily talented singers from around the country, is presented in an annual concert series in Austin and other Texas communities, tours in the U.S. and abroad, and records on the Harmonia Mundi label. How I wrote the composition Hope to process a miscarriage, or how I wrote I Will Lift My Eyes at a time when multiple family members, both young and old, were being diagnosed with cancer. No matter life’s challenges, Music has always been an outlet for me to cope and heal. It has helped me to persevere and fight through some of life's most difficult moments, ultimately making me a stronger person. The world can be a challenging place, but each of us are warriors—armed with the gift to sing, and filled with the fire, passion, drive, and grit to conquer anything.
