The University Choir from Colorado Christian University under the direction of Dr. Frank F. Eychaner performs William Byrd's Sing Joyfully for 6 voices. The a cappella performance was recorded in April 2012 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Denver Colorado.

Ira Spaulding, born in New York, studied with Robert Simpson at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey (Bachelor of Music) and also holds a Master of Music in Voice and Choral Conducting from Eastern Kentucky University. He gave numerous recitals in America as well as having taught voice, conducting, vocal pedagogy and literature at several colleges and conducted various vocal ensembles (community oratorio choirs, church choirs, boys choirs and a jazz vocal ensemble). He currently serves on the faculty at City College of New York where he teaches voice, conducting and leads vocal ensembles and choirs.  less

We rehearse at the Bundoora campus of La Trobe University, Victoria, Australia on Wednesday nights from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Our objectives are to rehearse and perform choral music, to participate in InterVarsity Choral Festivals and to do whatever else seems relevant. The Society is a non-auditioned choir, but it has been suggested that we could have a small, auditioned group within the society (perhaps called "Graduate Singers" or such like). Another possibility is that we could sing at graduation ceremonies in Union Hall. Another possibility is a joint Concert with another UCS. and what sort of music should we sing? Madrigals?
