Leach, perform Sacred and secular music from the African and African-American choral traditions. The choir, founded in 2005, is composed of alumni of the Essence of Joy Choir of The Pennsylvania State University. EOJAS has performed extensively in locations such as Pennsylvania, Alabama, Maryland, Virginia, Florida, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Washington D.C., Belgium, LuxembOurg, and France. EOJAS is an official Alumni Interest Group (AIG) of the Penn State Alumni Association. EOJAS' mission is to learn, present, and promote African and African-American Sacred and secular music in an effort to entertain, inspire, affirm and unify the worldwide community. The choir is a non-profit corporation registered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a tax exempt organization as defined in section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Tax Code. The University Choir is the premier auditioned ensemble of Colorado Christian University. The ensemble focuses on a cappella Sacred repertoire but also performs world music. The University Choir is a regular performer at conferences and tOurs annually.

Spera means hope in Latin, and it is a members’ shared vision on music. All members studied a Sacred choral music under Koji Oguchi, choir director, when they were high school students. They were deeply touched by Oguchi’s music and established the Ensemble Choir SPERA. Making its debut in concert in March 2014 at Tokyo Opera City Recital Hall, SPERA’s music was highly prized and well-reviewed in newspapers. It serves in Masses and services and performs in concerts as an ecumenical choir, composed of students from Kitasato University, International Christian University, Hitotsubashi University and Rikkyo University.
