We are a friendly, community choir who meet weekly to enjoy Singing together. We are open to all singers and tackle a wide range of songs.

The choir was established in 1996 (originally in the Lehava High School for Girls) by singer/choral conductor Nomi Teplow with the goal of bringing together girls with musical ability to work on a highly professional level and produce a wide variety of vocal music. The choir is comprised of 25-30 girls from areas throughout Samaria ranging in age from 13-18 years. The Shir-El choir performs in concerts and at vocal conventions across the country bringing fine Singing, rich harmonies and words of hope, faith and love of Israel to a broad range of audiences. The Shir E-l Choir has won first place several times in the national choral competition for high school choirs sponsored by the Israel Ministry of Education. We were born on the 24th of july 2017. A new choir in our local area. Open to all singers who want to have a fun Singing experience, performing songs from the charts, old and new.

The choir has a wide-ranging repertoire – from traditional sacred music to modern, contemporary compositions, popular arrangements and music from around the world. They perform regular concerts in London and the South East, as well as touring each year, with recent trips including Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and Greece. In 2025 the choir celebrated their 10th Birthday year, and the 25th anniversary of the founding of Northern Spirit Singers. Rehearsing monthly in central London, Southern Spirit Singers aim to perform the very highest standards of choral music in a relaxed and fun environment. As with all our ensembles, Tamariki provides a secure and accepting social environment where all singers feel their importance as members of the group.
