The OJC plays for audiences as diverse as women's shelters, rehabilitation centers and area elementary Schools, as well as at local and region festivals.  

As parents we sign our kids up for numerous activities, swimming, skating, dancing, gymnastics, soccer, hockey,  music, Choir, circus School, diving, horseback riding, you name it we do it, and we commit to driving them to all these activities week a...

I'm curious what other community choral groups charge for admission to your concert.  We currently charge $25 for adults but are reevaluating that price since members of our board feel it is too High.   Thanks for your input!

The Choir continually strives to sing at professional standards under the expert musical directorship of David Crown. We welcome experienced SATB singers who are keen to perform music of all genres to a High standard in an informal environment. Our ethos: CONTEXT Historical, social and environmental contexts of music, and the influence of these on performance, will be central to rehearsals and concerts. They will define the themes of our repertoire each year. COLLABORATION Based in Leeds, the Choir has numerous opportunities to collaborate with other ensembles, composers and charities to promote and support musicians throughout the North. The Choir, which has a membership of around 30 voices, was formed in 2007 by its Musical Director, Sheila Farmer. A Cappella is a touring Choir, having visited Prague and France, and hoping to make a tour to Spain in the near future. The Choir rehearses every other Saturday morning, between 10 a.m. and noon.
