Primary goals are to obtain a strong foundational choral training and raise the standard of non-audition Choirs to the level of auditioned 4-yr collegiate Choirs.  

Saint Alexander Choir was founded by Ioannis Kottoros, Cantor at Saint Alexander’s Church in Palaion Faliron, in 1943 and conducted by him until 2006. However, the existence of a primary form of the Choir conducted by Agesilaos Papantoniou and then Ioanni...  moreSaint Alexander Choir was founded by Ioannis Kottoros, Cantor at Saint Alexander’s Church in Palaion Faliron, in 1943 and conducted by him until 2006. However, the existence of a primary form of the Choir conducted by Agesilaos Papantoniou and then Ioannis Kottoros in succession is traced in 1930s. Since its foundation the Choir has had an exclusive and leading position in the parish ecclesiastical music, and, like Saint Alexander’s Church, follows the eastern orthodox doctrine and comes under the Holy Metropolis of Nea Smyrni. Both the Choir and the former conductor Ioannis Kottoros have been awarded several times; recently, in 2005, they were honoured with the Golden Cross of Apostle Paul by His Beatitude the late Archbishop of Athens and all Greece, Christodoulos. This auditioned mixed Voice adult Choir performs a an impressive rep...  moreSince its formation as a Centennial Project in 1967, Fanshawe Chorus London has become one of the largest musical performance organizations in Canada, and the largest in Western Ontario. This auditioned mixed Voice adult Choir performs a an impressive repertoire of music ranging from symphonic classical to modern favourites under the direction of Maestro, David Holler. Uniquely, the Chorus is backed by its own "Concert Players Orchestra" and is a non-profit corporation operating in partnership with the Media Studies Program at Fanshawe College. This organization has achieved its world class status through its adherence to excellence, and the diligence of individual choristers and continues to grow in quality each season. The London Fanshawe Symphonic Chorus organization is also a two time winner of the Ontario Lieutenant-Governor's Award for the Arts for fiscal responsibility and innovative programming.  less

This 65 to 70 member, mixed-Voice ensemble sings for services in Christ Chapel, for Christmas in Christ Chapel, an annual spring tour, and at special College events. Major city tour destinations have included San Antonio, St. Louis, Kansas City, Chicago, Milwaukee, Lincoln, and Omaha. Membership is by audition. Conducted by Bradon Dean.

South Devon Choir is a large, non-audition, mixed Voice Choir. Over the years the Choir has sung with many leadi...  moreSouth Devon Choir is a large, non-audition, mixed Voice Choir. We rehearse on Thursday nights at St Pauls Church Hall, Locarno Road (off Torquay Road), Preston, Paignton starting at 7.30pm until 9.30pm. Over the years the Choir has sung with many leading amateur and professional orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestras, the Bristol Symphony, the Bands of HM Grenadier Guards, Household Cavalry and Royal Marine Commandos, Lympstone. Nearly all the historical oratorios, cantatas and choral works have been performed at concerts as well as 20th century compositions. The Choir has visited France four times including the Quimper Music Festival, has hosted Choirs from Holland, France and the USA and created links with societies in Cornwall, Devon, Gloucestershire and North Yorkshire. The Choir has actively encouraged local school Choirs to participate in works which include parts written specially for young people.  less

St George’s RC Church Sudburyhttp://stgeorgessudbury.org.uk/ is a Roman Catholic church in the Diocese of Westminsterhttp://www.rcdow.org.uk/ it was consecrated in 1928 and modelled on a pre-reformation English Church. By 1933 there was a regular Sung Mass every Sunday with organ. The singers (all Male) were professionals hired by the Parish Priest. Within a short time there were sufficient men available for a Choir trained by Frank Adams and they sang at Mass and on Sunday evenings at Vespers and Benediction. Founded in 1934, the Victoria Choral Society has played a leading role in V...  moreThe Victoria Choral Society, directed by Brian Wismath, is an auditioned, mixed-Voice symphonic Choir dedicated to presenting the finest choral music from baroque to contemporary. Founded in 1934, the Victoria Choral Society has played a leading role in Victoria's cultural life, and has performed with every Victoria Symphony conductor since the Symphony’s inception. The Choir was created after 200 singers, representing most of the church Choirs of the day in Victoria, assembled in 1934 to sing Messiah. They agreed to continue singing together to promote choral music, and the Victoria Choral Society, at that time called the Victoria Choral Union, was formed. The instrumentalists who played with the Choir later formed the Victoria Symphony. Recent performances with the Victoria Symphony include Wagner's Lohengrin (Third Act), Verdi's Requiem, Orff's Carmina Burana, Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, Britten's War Requiem, and Handel’s Messiah.
