Winner of the Chorus America/ASCAP Alice Parker Award, Crescendo invites choral singers to audition for its 22nd season.This season, our repertoire spans 16th-century motets, works by Johann Sebastian Bach, and contemporary music in the Piazzolla style, featuring the U.S. premiere of Martín Palmeri’s A Jewish Cantata (2022). Carlow Choral Society is a mixed-voice choir of over 60 members (SATB) directed by Blánaid Murphy, Musical Director of the Palestrina Choir, St. Mary’s ProCathedral Girls Choir, Dublin Bach Singers and RIAM Choir. We Annually we perform two large concerts with professional soloists and orchestral musicians in Carlow, ‘Glory of Christmas’ in the National Concert Hall and annual ‘Christmas Crackers’ family concert in the George Bernard Shaw Theatre, Carlow.
We have a remarkable repertoire of many choral works such as Handel’s Messiah, Bach’s St. Mathews & St. John Passion, Verdi’s Requiem, Haydn’s The Creation & Seasons, Brahm’s Requiem & many more. We sing at home & abroad. In November 2011 the choir recorded a Christmas CD. New members are welcome. We rehearse in St. Patrick’s College, Carlow Monday nights from 7.45-10pm. rejoignaient les différents pupitres portaient désormais à leur actif des aptitudes Vocales, musicales et humaines. Le répertoire chanté a également évolué vers des chants plus sophistiqués avec des polyphonies et des arrangements plus complexes mais qui gardent élégance et légèreté.
Accompagnant cette évolution humaine et artistique marquant sa migration d’un chœur de jeunes à un chœur d’adultes, le Chœur des Jeunes de Casablanca a dû changer de dénomination et a adopté un nom autant fidèle à son identité qu’à sa nouvelle structure. Dès lors, le chœur des Jeunes de Casablanca devient « Chorale CASASAWT ».

Mu... moreThe Middle Community Chorus is a professional-level volunteer choir that sings mostly gospel music, but also music of all genres accompanied by a 4-piece band. It provides the music for Middle Collegiate Church's Art & Soul worship at 6 PM. Music reading is very helpful, but not as important as good intonation and a keen ear for gospel music. The only rehearsals are on Sunday afternoons at 4:30, for the 6:00 PM worship (start date 9/7) so it is essential that singers must be able to work on music outside of rehearsal that will be distributed several days in advance. Founded by friendship the choir was conceived in the minds of sisters Ana, Rita, and Cielo Bansuli together with their neighbor, sisters Melvic and Marivic Matalang. It started out with one small group of friends made up of mostly teenagers.
The group ... moreFounded by friendship the choir was conceived in the minds of sisters Ana, Rita, and Cielo Bansuli together with their neighbor, sisters Melvic and Marivic Matalang. It started out with one small group of friends made up of mostly teenagers.
The group was created 17th of August 1987 when a group of seminarians from St. Vincent had their apostolate together with the image of Our Lady of Miraculous Medal (name of Medallion was taken) at Metro Heights, Visayas Ave. Culiat, Quezon City and a choir was needed for the mass. The group started singing acapella during eucharistic celebrations and also singing at San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish every saturday evening mass.
From 1988 to 1989, another group of seminarians, which is the Franciscans, lived in the community for more than a year and help the group in singing. In 1989, the Augustinians had their apostolate and both congregations accompanied the group in singing during masses. Sometimes they hold their practices at the seminary.
