The Vocal Art ensemble of Davis, California, in a joint concert with the Garda Male Voice Choir and the Carrigaline Singers of Ireland, a performance of Eric Whitacre's "Sleep." This was the fifth concert on VAE's performance tour of Ireland, September 2-11, 2010.

The composition is divided into two repeated sections. In the first section, the choral texture is homo-rhythmic and in the second section, the voices are set into a simple counterpoint. “I Never Saw” closes on the dominant chord creating a feeling of suspension that enhances the concept of faith expressed by dickinson.
