Our program has grown to 3 vocal jazz Ensembles. The music we perform represents a crossover of the jazz and popular music idioms. The students in the KCKCC VJ program learn Jazz Education through a variety of methods. First of all, each of these students take private vocal jazz coachings weekly. They also perform music by professional vocal Ensembles, arrangements by well-known vocal jazz educators, and learn jazz and popular music standards (both through the Ensemble and in private coachings).  less

As this piece was meant to represent the early beginnings of human civilization ...  moreAs part of the Vocal Art Ensemble's May 2011 concert "Cloudburst--Sounds of Nature" is "Tres Cantos Nativos", a collection of three Krao Indian songs arranged by Marco Leite. As this piece was meant to represent the early beginnings of human civilization and the birth of language, we have staged the piece in a somewhat tribal way and added jungle sound effects.

We're a group of about 20 men & women, and sing in 3 or 4 (or more) part harmony. Quorum love to raise money for local causes - covering all sorts of charities, in all sorts of venues. Quorum Singers of St Albans has been singing for over 25 years, and perform around 3 times a year in St Albans or locally in Hertfordshire. We rehearse once a week on Wednesdays, throughout the term time, and can often be found performing in Christopher Place around Christmas time!  less

MBS is an active mens chorus and during our shows we like to combine quality and pleasure while performing. Our show should not only be a joy to your ears but it should also be a joy to your eyes ! That’s why we are rehearsing very hard every thursday night.

The Ensemble aims to promote artistic excellence in choral music ranging from classical to popular. It also aims to provide an opportunity for passionate singers to discover the voice as a singing instrument, develop high-level musical skills related to choral singing, influence choral music appreciation, develop cultural awareness, use choral music as a tool for change in building a better community, and finally, to represent Eastern Visayas in both local and international choral scenes. The Sinirangan believes that everyone can enjoy choral music and hopes to connect people of diverse backgrounds and ages to this extraordinary art form.
