Members of the Mundus Cantat Choir are Singers with experience in other choirs in the Tricity area as well as students of the Tricity schools and universities. The repertoire of Mundus Cantat, a mixed Chamber choir, includes various kinds of music – old melodies, modern songs as well as sacral music and popular music. Its members have participated in many major music events, such as oratorio performances dedicated to Pope John Paul II or a concert directed by Enio Morricone during the Solidarity Festival. Go, sleep little Jesus! The wind's riding by To set all the candles Alight in the sky. A candle for Kingship, Sweet laughter it brings And mirth's golden music, The riches of Kings. Go sleep little Jesus! The wind's riding by To set all the candles Alight in the sky But oh! in the skytop Up there I can see A cross, it's shining, It's shining on thee, Go sleep, little Jesus! The wind's riding by To set all the candles Alight in the sky. "Star Candles" is available on the compact disc Joyous Day! distributed through Clarion Records. In mid-April, 2011, Ola spent 3 days on the Central Washington University Campus for a project in which he joined the choir in recording 3 of his compositions. On this video, Gjeilo accompanies the choir on "The Ground" He is playing a written accompaniment on this video. He created an improvised accompaniment on the other two videos of this series. One is on his setting of the "Ubi Caritas" text and the other is on his composition, "Northern Lights", Because of his view that improvising is a wonderful snapshot of artists "at that moment", the project was entitled "In the Moment".
