We do not belong to any particular geographical area or church denomination. In over 25 years, nearly 400 people from all backgrounds have sung with us - often for the first time in an English Cathedral. The number continues to grow year by year. Martin Hall, our founder, became 'Director Emeritus' in Autumn 2006 and Matthew O' Donovan took over the post of Director in his stead. The poetry of American writer Luci Shaw jumped off the page for Vancouver musician Edward Henderson. Its dazzling imagery is reflected in Henderson's score, commissioned with financial assistance from the Diane Loomer Commissioning Fund for Elektra Women's choir and premiered at the choir's 2009 Chez Nous: Christmas with Elektra concerts.
Text: Luci Shaw from Wintersong 146
Music: Edward Henderson
