Go, sleep little Jesus! The wind's riding by To set all the candles Alight in the sky. A candle for Kingship, Sweet laughter it brings And mirth's golden music, The riches of Kings. Go sleep little Jesus! The wind's riding by To set all the candles Alight in the sky But oh! in the skytop Up there I can see A cross, it's shining, It's shining on thee, Go sleep, little Jesus! The wind's riding by To set all the candles Alight in the sky. "Star Candles" is available on the compact disc Joyous Day! distributed through Clarion Records. Our repertoire embraces operatic and lighter music alongside classical choral works, with orchestra, from Bach to Bernstein, and a wide range of a cappella repertoire, which we have also toured abroad. Our second CD was released in November 2009. A friendly Choir of 60-70 singers, we give four main local concerts a year and enjoy touring. Since 2002, our concert tours have included Lake Garda, Venice, Umbria, Tuscany, Kraków, Amiens and Ghent. In the UK we have performed at the London Coliseum (2006), Ely Cathedral (2007), the Southbank Centre (2010) and Winchester Cathedral (2011).  less

Our singers come together from a wide range of towns in Eastern and Central Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. Each season we perform choral masterworks with professional soloists and a professional orchestra. We have recently performed: the Mozart Requiem, the Mass in B Minor by J.S. Bach and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, Carmina Burana, Ola Gjeilo Dark Night of The Soul, and currently rehearsing the Verdi Messa Da Requiem under the artistic leadership of conductor Anne Watson Born. We love making great music together, and we work hard in rehearsals to bring an expressive and thrilling sound to our performances. We are a jovial and friendly group of people from all walks of life who enjoy singing together.  less

Since the beginning, Rev. Lee Chong Min – a reverend as well as a professor of the School of Church Music, Singapore Bible College – has been appointed to be the Choir master of the Chamber Choir. In 1997, the Choir name was changed to Jakarta Festival Chorus in order to reach out more participants from evangelical churches in Jakarta. Jakarta Festival Chorus is currently under the Music Department of the Communion of Chinese Churches in Indonesia (PGTI). The members now are choristers and sacred music lovers from different churches in Jakarta. For these past ten years, JFC has dedicated itself to regularly perform some great classical works from the famous composers, such as, The Messiah – Handel (2000), The Creation – Haydn (2003), Elijah – F. Mendelssohn (2004), Psalm 95 & Hymn of Prai...    less
