At the moment we consist of around 100 members in the average age of about 23/24. We are young people who are in the mood for singing modern self-made Jazz- and pop-arrangements. Duel of the Fates is my favorite song from the Star Wars saga. Watching and hearing the music performed by Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and Coro Sinfónico Lisboa Cantat was amazing. If I wasn't holding the camera, I would have been waving my lightsaber around. I get so hyped up hearing this.

The first hurdle was deciding which excerpts from the testimonies of Anita Hill and Christine Blasey Ford to set, which meant reading and listening and living inside these women’s harrowing stories for an extended period. And like most women, the most discomfiting aspect of listening to their testimony is the recognition. Ensemble Laude is a community of women united by a passion for choral music and the vision of our Artistic Director, Elizabeth MacIsaac. We celebrate the beauty and resilience of women’s vocal traditions through the ages and seek to share this art form through joyful, soulful, and life-enhancing performances that gladden the heart, lift the spirit, and expand the mind. Ensemble Laude began in 1998 with a group of 12 singers focused solely on medieval music. It has since expanded into a vibrant community choir of over 50 vocalists.
