The University Chorale is the touring ensemble for the choral department. The ensemble performs a wide spectrum of the finest choral literature. The group performs extensively throughout the Southwest and will be singing at several venues in Washington D.C. during December of 2013. The group primarily consists of vocal music majors, however, there are singers representing several other academic disciplines. The University Chorale has been under the direction of J. Steven Walker since 1984. Dr. Walker is the Director of Choral Activities and a Linscheid Distinguished Teaching Professor at East Central University. He has served on the music faculty at ECU since 1983.  less

A joyous exclamation which is set at a wedding, where the groom is being asked: "Where are you hiding the bride". Traditional Sesotho South African traditional music is known for their movement and dancing in their songs, and the UP Youth Choir accentuates this by highlighting the movement in their performance.

Founded by singers and beatboxers from the...  moreNew a Cappella group The Refrains are quickly establishing themselves on the thriving a Cappella scene in London. The group is made up of twenty-somethings (mostly!) who are young professionals living in London. Founded by singers and beatboxers from the likes of the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, Last Choir Standing and Britain's Got Talent favourites Out of the Blue, the group’s repertoire spans from Billy Joel to the Black Eyed Peas, via pop, jazz, barbershop, rap and original composition as they offer a programme of sumptuous jazz arrangements, genre jumping covers and assorted originals. Following a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe, The Refrains enjoyed a sold-out London debut at The Forge, Camden. Recent gigs have included The London A Cappella Festival, Edinburgh International Book Festival, Silver Bullet and private events.
