Kapadokya/Avanos’ta Hititler’den beri süregelen çömlekçilik geleneğine ev sahipliği yapan, Dünya’nın ilk ve tek yeraltı seramik müzesi olma özelliğini taşıyan Güray Müze, etkileyici akustiğiyle Kapadokya Korolar Festivali katılımcılarını ağırladı. Festival kapsamında çeşitli çoksesli eserler seslendiren Anchorus Çoksesli Korosu; KoroSolo, Procne Kadın Korosu ve Ychorus Vokal Topluluğu ile festivalin değerlendirme kurulu tarafından değerlendirildi. When founding member Rick Rosen left California in mid-2003 to move back to Bucks County, the original group of west coast singers went on hiatus. In its second life, and with the blessings of the founding Californians, Cordus Mundi was reborn in early 2005 in Bucks County. Now with fifteen voices, the newest incarnation of Cordus Mundi has the flexibility and versatility to expand the group’s musical exploration into new areas - the repertoire is varied and eclectic, and the group includes two composers and several arrangers. Cordus Mundi draws its repertoire from a wide range of composers and styles, from Dunstable to Duruflé, from Byrd to Bernstein, from Palestrina to Paranjoti, from Brahms to the Beatles, and from Jacob Handl to Edie Hill. Owing much to the polyphonic work of the Renaissance, the motet is a deeply-felt work written during Wesley's period of recuperation from a fall whilst out fishing in the North Yorkshire countryside at Helmsley. The chromatic clashes at the words "the bones which Thou hast broken" are almost certainly reflective of the pain the composer had suffered, for his leg was badly broken and he walked ever after with a noticeable limp. This performance was recorded in Leeds Minster on Sunday 28th April 2013 during the recital of 'Music with Minster connections' sung by St Peter's Singers of Leeds, directed by Dr Simon Lindley. Leeds Minster, formerly Leeds Parish Church, has a long and distinguished musical history. The list of organists and past organists of the Parish Church of St Peter-at-Leeds is outstanding.
