Dainius DRUSKIS is the artistic director of the Choir since 2014 when he took the lead of Choir from professor Albinas Petrauskas, who guided the Choir since its first rehersal for 42 years. Each musical season of „LELIUMAI“ is designated to performances of Choir music to the listeners in cities and towns in Lithuania, extraordinary festivals and meetings with the Choirs abroad, unforgetable participation in Lithuanian Song festivals. During its history „LELIUMAI“ has been awarded the highest titles in national Choir competitions in Lithuania, has won the third prize at the international Choir competition in Ireland (Cork) in 1983. Choir performances are rich with pieces of various styles, special part of the repertoir is assigned to the contemporary Lithuanian music. It doesn’t have an exact date of birth, because it began as a way to get together, rather than as a formal Choir. They don’t have a uniform, a fixed meeting place, or a specific repertoire genre.
