Founded in 1977, the Choir has gained a well-deserved reputation for performing neglected and unfamiliar music as well as better known and popular pieces, both sacred and secular. New members are welcome and encouraged to attend three rehearsals before an informal voice appraisal.  

Koleynu is a mixed-voice acappella Choir based in Ra'anana, Israel. We come from all over the world, but gather together to celebrate the joy of sharing music.

Both groups enjoy performing at our own and other local community events and festivals.

We perform at a variety of functions, often during church services. Our Easter-and Christmas programs are very popular. We also present a praise service ("Lofdiens") as church service. Our "soiree choralis" is another enjoyable event that we host. This is an ideal fundraiser for a church or other organisation.

The Choir was directed by highly regarded Croatian musicians Mladen Jagušt, Duško Prašelj, Lovro Županović, Adalbert Marković, Dinko Fio, Vladimir Kranjčević, and Saša Britvić. Since the beginning of 2003 the Choir's artistic director is Luka Vukšić. The director's assistant is Veton Marevci. The Choir's performances have been conducted by Croatia's and world's most eminent musicians, such as Lovro von Matačić, Milan Horvat, Zubin Mehta, Sir Yehudi Menuhin, Krzysztof Penderecki, Lorin Maazel, Ennio Morricone, Noam Sheriff, Gerd Albrecht, Kazushi Ono, Alun Francis, Hans Graf, Kurt Masur, Dmitrij Kitajenko, Valerij Gergijev, and Sir Neville Marriner.
