We rehearse in the Toronto Danforth area. The TCS Children’s Choir mission is to encourage and enrich the musical interests of children in Toronto’s east end by providing a community Choir experience in which they can learn, perform, and develop a life-long appreciation for singing. The Choir provides a supportive environment in which singers can develop their musical abilities by learning and performing choral classics, music from a variety of cultures, and music that celebrates the heritage of the City of Toronto.  less

We are an informal community Choir who sing a broad variety of songs. We meet every Tuesday at 6.30pm in the function room of The Bell Inn, in the heart of the village of Chittlehampton in North Devon.

Under the direction of Diana Clark since 2009, Children’s Choir consists of caring young musicians from diverse cultural heritages, ages 9-15 years old. Storytelling, joy of singing, connection and flexibility of performance are the core values of this group. The Choir also loves to work with guest conductors and share with other Choirs. They have recently been guest singers with Vancouver Chamber Choir. Two years after its founding, it was awarded 1st Prize at the 29th National Music Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA) held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. The group performed in various events such as Miss Earth Pageant in 2003 and 2004. The group was also one of the featured artists in the Samu’t-Saring Tinig V at the Cultural Center of the Philippines; in a concert at the Clamshell in Intramuros in February 2003; and in the International Youth Music Festival sponsored by NAMCYA held at the CCP in December 2003. In 2004, the Choir released its debut CD featuring Ilocano favourites and winning competition pieces. In 2005, the Choir was handed over to its new conductor, Sherberk Cabrales.
