Founded in 2014, the choir has performed more than 350 concerts in Poland and abroad. Our repertoire combines pop, folk and world music in original Vocal arrangements, often enriched with movement and choreography. We sing mainly in three-part harmony and work without traditional sheet music, focusing on sound, expression, memory and a direct connection with the audience. Over the years, we have performed at festivals, major cultural events and international projects across Europe, collaborating with professional musicians and artists. We have also created dozens of educational concerts for children and community-based music projects. Poznańskie Senioritki is an ambitious artistic Ensemble proving that creativity, stage presence and artistic development have no age limit. Women 60+. We learn our parts with precision, thus allowing us to put aside our sheet music and really enjoy the magic of hearing all the harmonies merged for a fine tuned a cappella sound! A cappella is a Vocal tradition as old as music itself, has held a prominent place in many musical genres. Blue Fever focuses on jazz and contemporary pop. Derived from the Italian phrase "in the manner of the chapel," a cappella refers to Vocal music performed without any instrumental accompaniment. This definition seems simple at first, but a cappella is a complex art form that demands precise intonation, exceptional Vocal blending, and often, a high degree of innovation. The Ensemble is made up of undergraduates and graduates of Cambridge University, and currently the choirs of King’s, St John’s and Trinity colleges are represented. Recent concerts have included performances of Gesualdo’s Tenebrae Responsories for Maundy Thursday (Feria Quinta), Monteverdi madrigals and anthems by Byrd. The Ensemble has also performed music by Ligeti, Rheinberger and arrangements by Philip Lawson. Future engagements include a lunchtime concert in the Cambridge St John’s Music Festival, as well as concerts at Jesus and Caius colleges.  less
