A gospel song, celebrating Pentecost and recorded by the choir in their homes during the Covid-19 lockdown of Spring Summer 2020. The song premiered on London's Wandsworth Prison Radio on 31st May 2020 is dedicated to the staff and prisoners there.

Polyhymnia's singers are drawn from many sources, including some of the finest church choirs in New York Since 2000, director John Bradley has been creating original editions of music for the ensemble, some of it secreted in manuscript collections since the 16th century. Working in concert with libraries, liturgical historians and institutions, Polyhymnia hopes to both preserve and reintroduce choral masterworks of the Renaissance and early Baroque in ways that both entertain and elucidate. Since then, we have not only grown in numbers but also in confidence and have showcased our talents at several Concerts and other public performances. We have an eclectic repertoire, singing a large variety of material, including classical, pop and show songs. The choir is comprised of all ages, skills, interests & talents. We are open to all adults in the local and wider community. Some of our members are talented singers and musicians, although you don't have to be able to read music to join - some members had never sung outside the shower until they joined.  less
