The Choir features a flexible array of singers to cater especially to your needs - from full 16 piece chamber Choir to a more intimate quartet or solo singers. From early renaissance music, through classical and romantic, to modern day, Coroedina's repertoire is large and varied. More recently, the Choir has also begun performing in and around Edinburgh at dedicated events to showcase their musical ability, and to share their passion and love of singing.  less

It was first created by a few friends in 1991, then enlarged over the years. It has been conducted by Stephan Nicolay since 2004. The Choir aims to share quality music and new experiences with the audience. That is why La Sestina often performs with crossover arts on a main theme e.g. French Renaissance chansons in 16th century clothes with an actress, a cappella sacred contemporary music with dancers and video projection, Baroque French music with chamber orchestra and a lecturer, medieval Spanish music with mediterranean ensemble of lutes and percussions, etc. Also, the Choir aims at supporting humanitarian and social actions by offering one or several concerts each year. Many international NGO have benefited from these charity concerts such as Unicef, Unesco, Amnesty International, Red Cross, Médecins Sans Frontières and so on, but also very local associations.
