Our multicultural members have musical skills ranging from professional to semi professional levels. We learn our parts with precision, thus allowing us to put aside our sheet music and really enjoy the magic of hearing all the harmonies merged for a fine tuned a cappella sound!
A cappella is a vocal tradition as old as music itself, has held a prominent place in many musical genres. Blue Fever focuses on Jazz and contemporary pop. Derived from the Italian phrase "in the manner of the chapel," a cappella refers to vocal music performed without any instrumental accompaniment. This definition seems simple at first, but a cappella is a complex art form that demands precise intonation, exceptional vocal blending, and often, a high degree of innovation. Water Ruminations is a setting of six poems by the thirteenth-century poet Rumi, in English translations from the Persian by Coleman Barks, for double choir and organ. the poetry sings of literal and spiritual connections between water and sky, a drop of water and human life, flowing water and love, drinking water and its container, the giddiness of spring and rolling seas, and the Ocean's gifts and singing. Its images, from 800 years ago, speak to us with both vivid immediacy and transcendence.

We are Anchora. We are a youth choir from Freising, next to Munich in south of Germany. At the moment we consist of around 100 members in the average age of about 23/24.

We are young people who are in the mood for singing modern self-made Jazz- and pop-arrangements. Mimi Neumair and Lukas Maier are our conductors, both are students at the Conservatorium in Munich.

Bogazici Jazz Choir - Alive (Masis Aram Gozbek) @ World Choir Championships, Graz
in the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning ... ink" href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="$(this).getParent().getNext().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">morein the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning 2 more gold medals in 'Grand Prix of Choral Music' the champions competed in, the choir has come back to Turkey with a total of 5 gold medals.
