From its very beginning in October 16, 1956 and until now, it is made up exclusively of male students and graduates of National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (former Moscow Engineering Physics Institute). The choir’s directors have traditionally been exclusively women — talented choirmasters who represented the classical Russian choral school. The repertoire of the MEPhI Male Choir includes practically all genres of choral music: Russian and Western classics and spiritual music, opera Choruses, works by modern composers, Russian folksongs, and some popular songs of the Soviet era.  less

The singing girls had alot of fun performing to a massive audience at the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton when UK Olympic medallist Diver Pete Waterfield made a special appearance. Lots of Laughs from the audience, and much amusement in the Chorus!

Intends to continue developing their vocal talent, working a v...  moreThe New Wave Chorus was created in early 2015 by Armanda Patricio. Integrates more than twenty young people between fourteen and eighteen years of age who have, in Music, a common denominator. Intends to continue developing their vocal talent, working a varied repertoire in multiple languages, styles, and four mixed voices (SATB) a cappella or in collaboration with instrumental ensembles. Has the support of the Instituto Politecnico de Castelo Branco, through the provision of space for rehearsals, on Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas de Castelo Branco (ESART). Fifteen days after its formation, the band was invited to participate in the IX Spring Concert (Covilha), with the theme "East and West", taking place on March 15, 2015. He accepted with great pleasure and it turned out a great way for bringing a greater responsibility to the original project.  less
