Members come from Balfron, Killearn, Drymen, Kippen, Aberfoyle and further afield. We rehearse in Balfron Church on Monday nights at 7.30. We are under the musical direction of Mark Evans, and perform publicly at both Christmas and Spring.

Members of the Mundus Cantat Choir are Singers with experience in other Choirs in the Tricity area as well as students of the Tricity schools and universities. The repertoire of Mundus Cantat, a mixed Chamber Choir, includes various kinds of music – old melodies, modern songs as well as sacral music and popular music. Its members have participated in many major music events, such as oratorio performances dedicated to Pope John Paul II or a concert directed by Enio Morricone during the Solidarity Festival. Joy at making music together is the basis of the Choir's existence.  less

Founded in 1977, the Choir has gained a well-deserved reputation for performing neglected and unfamiliar music as well as better known and popular pieces, both sacred and secular. New members are welcome and encouraged to attend three rehearsals before an informal voice appraisal.

Presenting many challenges, the 8 minute piece is based on an octatonic scale and divides into as many as 20 parts. For a short while there are 4 conductors. The video includes subtitles. It was recorded May of 2010 in the CentralWashington University Music Building Concert Hall. Founded by a group of choral music lovers in 2002, KCC has leaded the choral music community to an unceasingly advancement in southern Taiwan. KCC performs a vast selection of local and international repertoires, female or male choral work, a cappella pieces, contemporary Chamber Choir music, and newly commissioned compositions in its semi annual concerts and other occasions. KCC’s active presence on stages has brought several acclaimed rewards from private and public offices. Under the leadership of the current Artistic Director, Dr. Chia-fen Weng, KCC launched the Elite Workshop to further expand the Choir’s caliber in 2007. This program recruited a few young talented Singers to act as voice teachers in the Choir, such as Hua-chen Liang, Je-jium Chan and Ying-jen Yao, and offers music theory, body movement and dancing lessons to its members as part of this Elite Workshop program.
