Founded in 1977, The choir has gained a well-deserved reputation for performing neglected and unfamiliar music as well as better known and popular pieces, both sacred and secular. New members are welcome and encouraged to attend three rehearsals before an informal voice appraisal.

With approximately 100-115 auditioned members and a professional core of 12 Voices,The choir's repertoire spans 6+ centuries . In addition to our annual subscription series, we sing with both The National Arts Centre Orchestra and The Ottawa Symphony Orchestra . The choir has made five international tours to Italy, Spain, Germany and The Czech Republic and The United Kingdom and Ireland . Following an extensive search which attracted a roster of highly- accomplished choral directors, The impressive and charismatic young conductor and keyboard artist, Jordan de Souza, was appointed Artistic Director and Principal Conductor in July, 2013. A vibrant 60 voice all-volunteer ensemble, known for its innovative programming, fine musicianship, and warm fellowship. Performances at local venues, and major halls in metro NY-NJ area. Rehearsals on Tuesday evenings from 7 - 10 PM, September through May.

Pacifica Singers provides an ideal performance venue for experienced and motivated choral singers whose goal is to make music at a very high level. By providing direct exposure to The world of professional music making, it is an experience of great value for singers intending to make a career in music.
