We are specifically aimed at experienced singers who want to work quickly in a non-regular rehearsal setting. Imagine a Book Club for Choral singers! Each session every two or three weeks, we will look at a couple of new songs, chosen by differend members of the group, from the whole history of music, form Monvererdi to Madness. We have two experienced conductor/singers who will be happy to lead any session, but all singers will be encouraged to lead their own song choices if they wish. The aim, in the first intance, is to have fun exploring as much Choral repertoire as possible, in a fun and collaborative enviroment. We do not intend to book up concerts straight away - once we've had a few meetings and looked at enough repertoire then we'll think about performances. Let's work to get the music right first! It commits to significantly contribute to the nurturance of the country’s Choral tradition. Its vision is to become the country's premiere all-male Chorale, exemplifying the best of the Filipino: excellence, discipline and a flair for entertainment. Inspired by the global spirit and nationalistic dedication of the great ilustrado men during Spanish colonial times, the choir is slowly building a repertoire that includes the best of local and global all-male Choral music. A member of the Madz et al network of choirs, it is composed of men who had extensive Choral singing backgrounds through their College, church and community/parish choir experiences. This 30-strong male choir aspires to the celebrated male Choral tradition and delights in exploring its infinite artistic depth. Under the leadership of Meng-Hsien Peng as conductor and artistic director since 2013, the choir has achieved prestige as one of the country’s foremost Choral groups. Throughout its seventeen years of existence, the Müller Chamber Choir has time and time again participated in international Choral events to expand its artistic vision. In 2007, led by maestro Julian Ching-Chun Su, the choir participated in the 23rd Takarazuka International Chamber Chorus Contest in Japan and took home a gold medal in the Folklore category and a silver medal in the Romantic category, placing second in the overall ranking. In addition we are frequently asked to sing at local events, weddings and celebrations. The Society was started in 1960, under our founder Gerald Brown, and we are still going strong. We are now led by James Gallagher, who has been working with us since 2009. We invite local young soloists and professionals to perform with us. Our repertoire ranges from 16th Century works to those of living composers and covers both major serious and popular works.
