Dedicated to developing new audiences for music rooted in Balkan, Slavic, and Caucasian women's Vocal traditions, Kitka also strives to expand the boundaries of folk song as a living and evolving expressive art form. Kitka's activities include an Oakland-based home series of concerts and Vocal workshops; regional, national, and international touring; programs in the Schools; recording, publication, and broadcast projects; master artist residencies; commissioning; community service work; and adventuresome collaborations.  less

It has appeared in major venues in Austria, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, Wales, and Ireland. The ensemble regularly collaborates with the Des Moines Symphony and sang the Beethoven Ninth Symphony with that orchestra in September 2011. The Drake Choir has performed in Carnegie Hall and has been featured on the conference program of the American Choral Directors Association North Central Division. The ensemble consists of 64-70 singers who are first-year students through seniors and who represent every College of the University. Auditions for returning students take place in April and for new students during the weekend preceding the start of the fall semester. The ensemble rehearses Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 3:30-5:00 p.m. and is conducted by Dr. Aimee Beckmann-Collier, Director of Choral Studies and Professor of Condcuting.  less

MGC travelled widely in Europe and had a High standard. In 2003, we changed our name to Manx Voices. We love singing to community groups, in church services and concerts. We compete in our local music festivals and have sung on stage with Blake. We are a very democratic, mutually supportive group of women ranging in age from 10 to 70!  

Dr. Barlow Bradford conducts the University of Utah Choirs in his own rendition of Sussex Carol at the Libby Gardner Concert hall for the 2012 Christmas Showcase.

The Virginia Wesleyan Singers are an open-enrollment ensemble of 30-50 singers from all majors at Virginia Wesleyan College. No audition is required, and singers perform a variety of music in all styles while developing Vocal technique and musicianship skills.

A trio arrangement of the old English folk song "Green Broom" about a young man who is sent out to work and finds a lady who wants to marry him. I have classified this as SSA but it is also possible for Soprano Mezzo and Alto Other lower versions are coming soon.
