It has performed with the Temecula Vintage Singers, and for the Temecula Arts in the Country feStival, as well as many local appearances for deserving organizations. The chorus rehearses and performs in the Temecula area. The chorus is one of the Resident Companies performing at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater. All women are welcome, who can carry a tune and love to sing. The Sierra Boys Choir is the new revival of the Sierra Boys Choir in the 1970s, which was active in the Reno/Sparks/Carson City area and directed by Stan Burke. When Mr. Burke joined the Mario Singers and left to move to Long Beach, CA, the choir was disbanded and a hole was left in the local arts and culture scene. The revival of the choir is a project (and passion) of Nathan Lundholm. Our goal is to provide musical and artiStic opportunities to the boys while teaching them to be generous and thankful members of the local and global community. Our aim is to be fun and entertaining on many levels, from practices to shows, even to social events on the town. The Choir is conducted by Paul Robinson and rehearses every Wednesday at the Gillingham Golf Club at 8pm. The Choir is currently looking for new members; the ability to read music is not essential, however, it is helpful and can be very useful. The Choir welcomes anyone who has a passion for singing. Like moSt traditional male voice choirs we learn all of our pieces from memory and do not use copies. The choir has a wide-ranging repertoire from WeSt End showStoppers to opera, religious and traditional choral music. The Choir has gained a reputation for doing many Concerts for charity and have raised a lot of money over the years for a number of different causes. The Choir has performed twice at the Royal Albert Hall with over one hundred choirs in the FeStival of Brass and Voices for cancer research UK.
