It was founded in 1998 in response to The success of The Choral Meeting of Alexandria Municipality and mainly because of The Alexandrians who love The choral music and The encouragement of The Board Members of The Choir at The time. Like Melissanthi, Alexandrian voices is, in The wider area of Alexandria, The music institution that target to The development of choral music, of course through The good company and The love for music itself. From The beginning it counts approximately 50 choristers, all amateurs (meaning that none has studied music) who love and sing almost all kinds of music. Since Their beginning, Alexandrian voices had The opportunity to participate and be distinguished in numerous events, competitions or not, musical or of special interest. In 2011 They published Their first CD, songs of Freedom, a collection of protest songs with a strong connection to The Civil Rights Movement. In 2015 TSV published Their first original single, “Graces (Dropping Again)” written by ZogaroS.
