The Devonshires’ defense took place in a violent thunderstorm, when rain and hail fell in sheets to impede visibility. The line ‘Fetter and Faint for England’s neck, Faggot and Father, Saint and chain’ graphically talks about what would have happened if the faggot (a bundle of sticks) had burned the English because the Spanish thought of them as heretics. We offer an opportunity for young people to sing and produce Music both formally and informally through regular rehearsals and concerts, as well as local workshops and residential weekends.  

We have a varied repertoire of songs to suit all tastes and, from the very many letters of appreciation and thanks we receive, we clearly achieve our aim of audience entertainment. Although we are a Welsh male voice Choir, we are able to perform Music in English; French; German; Latin and even the Zulu Xhosa dialect.

Obida in October 2001. Members enjoy the opportunity to rehearse & perform under the professional tutelage of its Choirmaster and resident arranger Novem G. Cabios. The Choir has already competed in two World Choir Games, one in China in 2006 and the other in Austria in 208, where it won bronze & silver medals in the male chamber Choir category. The group has traveled to Nancy, France on invitation, in one of France’s major choral festival, the 14th Festival International Chant de Choral held in May 2007. On tour in Europe, the Choir performed to much acclaim in France, Belgium and Austria. Prime Note participated in the 2nd California Choral Festival & Competition in June 2009 in San Luis Obispo and continues to have a series of performances in and around Southern California, which the group now calls home.  less

Fed up of boring lifeless Choirs that sing traditional Music, Bobby wanted to create a Choir format that is fun, exciting, and most important - easily accesible to everyone. We started with a Swansea Choir, and quickly expanded to opening a branch in Llanelli. New to 2015 is our branch in Cardiff and Bristol starting in September.  

This work served as one of the 'water' pieces for The Vocal Art Ensemble's 5th Anniversary "GODAI--Choral Music Summoning the Five Ancient Elements" concerts, alluding to the changing and sometimes playfully tumultuous properties of the sea.
