This particular setting was composed with a small mixed-ability choir in mind, so the voices are mainly in two parts (men's and women's voices), splitting to four parts (SATB) occasionally, where the words suggest it. The musical style is reminiscent of the 19th century although the piano part does go into 20th century style syncopation at times.

El traspaso de este mundo físico al mundo espiritual. El poema en su totalidad da una sensación de soledad y quietud, ejemplificándolo en las frases Over the roof-tops crowned with snow, The music of stillness holy and low. La música compuesta por Jonathan Adams nos eleva y hace tangible este maravilloso poema. Replicando una y otra vez en el final “Stars I shall find” la esperanza de alcanzar la paz.
