We were born on The 24th of july 2017. A new choir in our local area. Open to all singers who want to have a fun singing experience, performing songs from The charts, old and new.

Byrd's Ave Verum Corpus appeared in his Gradualia, two volumes of liturgical polyphony published in 1605 and 1607. Primarily devoted to use within The major feasts of The church calendar, some of The included items in The 1605 volume do not belong to The main sphere of works. The Ave Verum Corpus is one of These. It is a popular work of Byrd's, utilising The well-known Latin text of The Eucharistic hymn. Initially formed in 1987 simply as a means for those interested to gaTher togeTher to sing...  moreThe Outer Banks Chorus is a group of 80+ singers dedicated to bringing excellent choral music of all kinds to Dare County, North Carolina and The surrounding areas. Initially formed in 1987 simply as a means for those interested to gaTher togeTher to sing, more formal concerts were later organized and presented. In addition to two planned concerts a year (a Christmas concert in The Fall and a Spring concert), There are frequently requests from local organizations for appearances. For example, in The spring of 2011, The group performed at The Wright BroThers Monument for The Centennial of The Wright BroThers Glider Flight. The repertoire of The Outer Banks Chorus ranges from The Classical to Broadway, and spirituals of all kinds and in different languages. Recently The Chorus has sung a number of premiere performances of pieces by contemporary composers. All are invited to hear The Chorus sing exceptionally lovely and wonderful choral music.  less
