We are a registered charity and normally raise many thousands of pounds for both local and national charities through our concerts. We have links with Choirs in Italy and Germany and we meet with these Choirs every couple of years for a musical event that we call Harmony in Europe

Celebrating world music and arts Promoting multi-cultural awareness Supporting children's health and education projects in The Gambia, West Africa As well as hosting an annual World Musicand Arts Festival and the Choir we also run a weekly West African Drumming workshop. Both groups enjoy performing at our own and other local community events and festivals.

Completed in 1997, the piece was inspired by the MS Estonia disaster of 1994. It won third prize in the European composition competition for cathedral Choirs in 1997. The text of the piece is taken from three sources: the Catholic Requiem Mass, Psalm 107: "They that go down to the sea in ships...", and the report of the disaster from the weekly Latin-language Finnish news service, Nuntii Latini. We also present a praise service ("Lofdiens") as church service. Our "soiree Choralis" is another enjoyable event that we host. This is an ideal fundraiser for a church or other organisation.
