The Devonshires’ defense took place in a violent thunderstorm, when rain and hail fell in sheets to impede visibility. The line ‘Fetter and Faint for England’s neck, Faggot and Father, Saint and chain’ graphically talks about what would have happened if the faggot (a bundle of sticks) had burned the English because the Spanish thought of them as heretics. In the past years, Chamber choir Orfej has received a number of awards, which places them among the more prominent Slovenian choirs. Orfej has proven its high level of vocal performance in April 2010 at the prestigious Slovene national choir competition ‘Naša Pesem’ (i. e. ‘Our Song’). The choir scored 93 points, received the gold award, and the second prize in the category ‘mixed choirs’.
