Inclusive is the word which probably best describes Open Arts Community Choir. It features people with disabilites and those without, from every section of the community in Northern Ireland. The age range is extensive, from seventeen to over seventy but most importantly members are united by their love of singing.
The Choir is from Belfast Northern Ireland and is conducted by Beverley Whyte.

The singers sang together in the Netherlands Youth Choir. They hit it off so well there that the ambition developed to continue together in Female a cappella repertoire; a relatively rare genre very dear to the heArts of all five. The top quality displayed since by Wishful Singing – both aurally and visually – makes the ensemble unique in the world.
The repertoire ranges from modest works from the Renaissance and Baroque eras to swinging versions of golden oldies such as Mister Sandman. Founder of the Choir was Mefodijs Skuja but the greatest achievments DZINTARS succeeded with perennial conductor Ausma Derkēvica.
Since 2000 the conductor and Artistic Director is Aira Birziņa, chief conductor of The Nationwide Song Festival in Latvia, Professor of Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, organizator of innumerable cultural projects and author of the concepts of many projects for avocational Choirs.
