Beatus Choral Ensemble is a collective of young Catholic artists and musicians committed to uplifting Catholic liturgy through adherence to traditional forms and the use of new sacred art.

We see the sudden headlines float on the muttering tide. We hear them warn and threaten and wonder what they hide. There are whispers across tables, talks in a shutter’d room. The price on which they bargain will be a people’s doom. There’s a roar of war in the factories and idle hands on the street And Europe held in nightmare by the thud of marching feet. Now sinks the sun of surety,the shadows growing tall Of the big bosses plotting their biggest coup of all. Is there no strength to save us? No power we can trust. Crescendo is the evolution of the choir, our growth as individuals and as a group ‎from the very first rehearsal to finally singing for our audience at L’Auditori.‎ It’s an empowering life experience resulting from the intense months of work and rehear...  moreCrescendo is the evolution of the choir, our growth as individuals and as a group ‎from the very first rehearsal to finally singing for our audience at L’Auditori.‎ It’s an empowering life experience resulting from the intense months of work and rehearsals, ‎a learning process and a fantastic opportunity to share, to be supportive and to persevere in ‎our personal and collective dreams.‎ In this concert we present the Symphony for Strings No. 8 by William Herschel, ‎musician and astronomer who went down in history as the discoverer of the planet Uranus in ‎‎1781. This work will be followed by the dance of planets and stars of La Lluna by ‎Ian Shaw, a work based on the poem by Jacint Verdaguer and winner of the second edition ‎of the El Cor Canta International Composition Competition for Choir and Orchestra. The ‎concert will be rounded off with a call for peace with Missa per la Pau (Mass for ‎Peace), by Salvador Brotons.‎  less

This choral group comes from the experience of the first months of 2018, with the project 'Canta amb l'OBC' organized by the L'Auditori of Barcelona, which consisted of a diverse symphonic program with accompaniment of the Barcelona Symphony and Catalonia National Orchestra. It was a lively and intense musical experience that led a good part of the group to continue singing as a symphonic choir, which is how they define themselves. Singing, living together and sharing is the motto of this choral group. The general aim is to acquire the necessary musical experience that allows the group to consolidate itself as a stable chorale and to position itself as one of the leading choirs of the Catalan musical scene.
