California Redwood Chorale is a mixed voice adult choir formed in 2007. The Chorale is from Northern California in the San Francisco Bay Area. We perform twice a year in April and November. The choir also travels internationally to such places as Canada, ...  moreCalifornia Redwood Chorale is a mixed voice adult choir formed in 2007. The Chorale is from Northern California in the San Francisco Bay Area. We perform twice a year in April and November. The choir also travels internationally to such places as Canada, Italy, Hungary, Puerto Rico, Morocco, and Spain. Our goal when we travel is to collaborate with choirs from the region we are visiting and perform concerts together. Our repertoire ranges from Mozart to Ola Gjeilo to Eric Whitacre and many more.

Because Egypt is now well positioned for food, people from afar come to purchase grain to replace their own failing crops. Among these are Joseph's brothers, who do not recognize him (although he recognizes them). He accuses them of being spies and orders them to leave one of them, Simeon, here in jail while they go home and return with their youngest brother Benjamin (who did not come the first time).  less

He was also given a beautiful wife named Asenath who was daughter of the priest of On. He began travels throughout all the land of Egypt to administer his responsibilities in saving the land. Before long Joseph and Asenath had 2 sons whom they named Manasseh and Ephraim...not Egyptian, but HEBREW names. (Spiritual application: Far away from home it would be easy to forget your roots or principals that had been taught as a child, but Joseph proved by his children's names that he had not submitted to the false gods of the Egyptians. The group is formerly known as Chorus Leviticus, from the word "Frisco" it means San Francisco Del Monte, it is a small town founded by our patron San Pedro Bautista during 1590, the group is comprised of mostly students, out of school youth, young professionals and music enthusiast from the Parish Youth and Music Ministry of ArchdioceSan Shrine of Santuario De San Pedro Bautista in Quezon City,which is also known as one of the oldest church in the Philippines and the provincial house of the Franciscans. As our patron saint San Pedro Bautista, a Franciscan missionary, a saint who lived in our community, and who was the first missionary to teach liturgical music to local children and organized church choirs in the Philippines. When founding member Rick Rosen left California in mid-2003 to move back to Bucks County, the original group of west coast singers went on hiatus. In its second life, and with the blessings of the founding Californians, Cordus Mundi was reborn in early 2005 in Bucks County. Now with fifteen voices, the newest incarnation of Cordus Mundi has the flexibility and versatility to expand the group’s musical exploration into new areas - the repertoire is varied and eclectic, and the group includes two composers and several arrangers. Cordus Mundi draws its repertoire from a wide range of composers and styles, from Dunstable to Duruflé, from Byrd to Bernstein, from Palestrina to Paranjoti, from Brahms to the Beatles, and from Jacob Handl to Edie Hill.
