It strives to enrich The lives of...  moreThe SouThern California Children’s Chorus (SCCC), Orange County’s only chorus dedicated exclusively to meeting The educational and performance needs of children, seeks to do more than introduce Youth to music and singing. It strives to enrich The lives of its members through programs stressing musical aptitude, teamwork, discipline, self-confidence and personal growth. Music camps, social outings, Concert tours and an annual, child-involved fundraiser are combined with weekly rehearsals and live performances to create The type of nurturing environment that enables members to mature musically and socially. The SCCC and its musical directors serve as mentors, coaches and friends to students in a variety of socioeconomic levels.  less

This is a group of kids who study in The School and as an extracurricular program for The children. We receive children from The 3rd till 6th grades. The Choir is conducted by Fanny Kristianus Kalensang and till now is The one who is in charge of all OCC's activities.

Goal of The Choir is equally The Choral and music development of its members and The contribution to The cultural development of Alexandria and The surrounding area. Although it started as a small ensemble singing monophonic or at best diphone melodies without instrumental accompaniment, today has more than 80 choristers, mostly girls, 10-25 years old, and interprets as a triphonic Choir almost all kinds of music, with an emphasis on The music of The nations and Greek composers. In These few years, The young all-girls Choir has grown from strength to strength. Since June 2009, under The direction of Their conductor, Mr Darius Lim, The Choir has garnered numerous accolades and awards to Their name. In 2010 The Choir won The Gold Award at The 3rd Orientale Concentus International Choral Competition in Yilan, Taiwan. The Choir was also Category Winner and was one of four Choirs to be invited to compete in The grand finals. In 2011 The Choir attained Their first Silver award at The Singapore Youth Festival Central Judging of Choirs. In The same year They came in 2nd at The National A Capella Championships. The Choir has also collaborated with numerous national ensembles such as The Singapore Police Force Band and Choir and The Singapore Armed Forces Band.
